I am a light skin African American. Born and raised in the Windy City. I have a plain or natural look compared to someone with an exotic look. From elementary school to college and part of my adult life, I have been small as far as my weight and size. My body type is average, meaning I am not skinny or too big. I have changed a lot since elementary school, high school and college. My weight has increased some, my hair is cut differently, my eye brows trimmed a bit and I have added urban and designer fashion as part of my basic dress. Here are some physical features and characteristics that I have in common with other African Americans. 1. My skin complexion is light, tan or beige 2. My nose is a medium size and a little wide 3. The hair on my legs and arms are dark brown or black 4. I have body marks or birth marks 5. My two front teeth are bigger than the rest of my teeth 6. My hair is dark brown or black 7. My ears are big 8. My eye brows are black 9. My eyes are brown 10. My beard and mustache is dark brown 11. My eye brows are thick 12. My lips are big 13. I have some body fat 14. I like to eat out 15. I like pizza 16. I like chinesse food 17. I like fried chicken, red beans, rice and biscuits 18. I have a love for God 19. I like to shop 20. I like to dance 21. I like music 22. I like grits, eggs, bacon, cereal and orange juice 23. I like to play pool 24. I like fashion  25. I like to buy or rent movies 26. I like bannas, oranges, peaches ans plums. My mother is a natural red head. Her skin color is carmel. Carmel means light brown. My father skin color is brown. Both my mother and my father are from the south. My mom is from Mississippi. My father is from Tennesse. Like my parents, I am a northerner and a southerner. I lived in Chicago and I now live in Baton Rouge. I attended my grandfather's funnel, a program with his picture on the front cover showed a light skin African American. I get my skin complexion from my mother and my grandfather. There are 5 shades of black in my family. I 'm Stephen and I am light skin, my brother Clifford is light light skin or one shade lighter than me. My brothers Dwayne and Timothy who is deceased, have carmel or light brown skin. My brothers Thomas, Raymond and my wife Felicia are brown skin. My brother Calvin, Kenneth and my stepfather Robert are dark brown. I have counted 6 shades of color for African Americans. There is light light skin, light skin, carmel or light brown, brown, dark brown, dark or black.
