this is about abuse

I wake on the floor, my head starts to pound
I gently sit up straight and listen… I hear no sound
He’s left or passed out, either way I’m safe
I waste no time, I hurry to clean up the place
I pick up the broken glass and the tipped over chairs
I mop up the blood and fight back the tears
He wouldn’t have to do this if I could just do things right
I could do things a lot faster if I could just clear my sight
