In your life you’ve had many trials
And you felt like your life was going down in a spiral
And you felt like there was no way to rebound
So you prepared yourself to hit the ground
Right before you hit fast and hard
Heavenly Father threw you a different card
A friend who was willing to listen and talk
Someone to help you in the dark to walk
A daughter of god is what you want to become
The only problem is your already one
Pretty soon you’ll know this is for certain
And then in your life there won’t be no more hurtin
From the past that haunts you so
And happy through life you’ll go
So you gonna be baptized what a wonderful thing
You come out of the water forgiven and clean
Everything in the past washed away
Not to be forgotten but never to replay
So when it comes time to go through that veil
You’ll know in your heart you didn’t fail

ok there's a couple of rough rhymes there...thing and clean? become and one? trials and spiral don't match, but instead of trials maybe you could say many "a" trial? that way it rhymes easier. Great poem overall I love the message :) it makes me wonder which religious perspective it comes from? What religion are you? :) thanks for writing this encouraging poem.

Thank you very much for the advice. i am LDS. but i feel like it could apply to different religions too. i'm glad that you took the time to read it and give some constructive criticism.
