Survivor
by Steve Cook

I'M A SURVIVOR, CAN'T YOU SEE?
LOVE IS JUST A PAIN TO ME
EVERY TIME I LOOK AT YOU
I SEE THE THINGS I USED TO DO
MEMORIES OF OUR PAST
THE TIMES WE THOUGHT WOULD FOREVER LAST
SHARING, CARING BEING TOGETHER
WE THOUGHT OUR LOVE WOULD LAST FOREVER
GIRL, I WOULD'VE DIED FOR YOU
ANYTHING YOU'D WISH COME TRUE
BUT YOU HAD TO WALK AWAY
LEAVING ME HERE TO STAY
ALONE TO PAY THE PRICE OF LOVE
SO I LOOK TO THE STARS HIGH ABOVE
FOR AN ANSWER TO THIS MYSTERY
I LOCK THE DOOR, THROW AWAY THE KEY
TO BLOCK OUT ALL THIS MISERY
THE PRICE OF LOVE EQUALED PAIN
AND THIS IS WHY I'M SO AFRAID!!!
