THE ONE

By Steve Cook

All alone sad but true

she left my heart black and blue

Pain so strong it can't be wrong

All I hear are these unhappy songs

Tears of hurt stream down my face

I'm left with this awful taste

There was no one I loved so much

I prey that I can feel her touch

She was perfect in every way

God I wish she would've stayed

I need her to breath and eat

I need her close to fall asleep

I need her to love me like I love her

I need her to show me life without hurt

I need her most gentle touch

I need her all so much

I love that girl but now she's gone

I wish she could've just held on

I wanted her to be my wife

With her I wanted to build our life

I need her I love her I lost her

I miss her I want her

She was the ONE that special ONE

Now it over because she's gone
