Yes, I love Buffy The Vampire Slayer so much I wrote a poem about it!!

(for Anya, who died)

Aud in your first incarnation,

then the false Anyanka, then—

your face swollen with poultice,

a waxy black thing—the human

Anya but not as yet my favored

imitation, though not a half step

A vengeance demon, there in

that name you lay your crown,

I loved you through a screen

knowing you existed only there,

I cried when you died—it was

Everything was swallowed,

it buried you, I

wanted to run to your grave,

slip down into

the hole and hold you.

But the hole was gone,

ten years gone. So

I walked in myself, cold

from the rape, thinking

of it, feeling it, the valiant

fight, the war against

the root, feeling you.

Always you.
