Yesterday was the thirtieth day of my birth,

The anniversary of my arrival here on earth,

My new therapist says that I need two types of pills,

Said that even though I've slowly climbed some mountains, I still have to sprint up some hills,

I'm learning ever patiently to show some type of affection,

And somtimes, I tend to send it in the wrong direction,

That's when my anger emerges once again,

And I leave everything behind me within,

Smoldering flames and ashes, the people and the things,

My girlfriend wants me to go with her to look at wedding rings,

The mornings come to me before the sun arrives,

And leaves me hoping that today my roomate dies,

I lie in bed in silence pretending that I'm still asleep,

Praying to the gods that she won't make a peep,

But I always know that my hopes are all in vain,

For making obnoxious noises is something that she cannot refrain,

Her past childhood, her rearing, I suppose,

Have left her with no respect and left me with her actions to loathe,

So, my therapist, you see, she speaks to me of her concern,

That my temper will get the best of me and my roomate will become quickly burned,

Within the flames of my inner rage that I harbour so well,

And I will be the only one left with a story to tell,

But, wait, don't forget about my girlfriend who also sleeps in the same bed,

For it is HER that I am worried about beating my roommate over the head,

Perhaps I should tell my doctor how I lie in that bed so still,

And that maybe she should think about giving my girlfriend the pills.
