Some songs come to me, while at work, walking the dogs.

The old man was a walking library

Who kept that building locked away in his

head

Since no one dared asked him questions for

answers

They couldn’t write down all the nothings he

said

They’ll never know the things he knew

Though they could have while he was still

alive

But that knowledge was lost in a split second

To late now as the hearse passed them by

Balloons balloons popping up in the air

Like popcorn that’s popping upon the town

square

The daunting history locked away in his head

No answers to their questions now that he’s

dead

The old woman was a little scary

Who kept those voices locked away in her

head
Since no one but her knew they lived there

They wouldn’t know all the evil somethings

they said

The old man died single not married
He never made the time to have a wife

Though he tried courting many women around

town

Only one did end him in with her knife

Balloons balloons popping up in the air

Like popcorn that’s popping upon the town

square

The haunting mystery locked away in her head

As they ask their questions now that he’s dead

Balloons balloons popping up in the air

Like popcorn that’s popping upon the town

square

The daunting history locked away in his head

No answers to their questions now that he’s

dead
