I called your friend on the phone last night

about the way you treat me, cause it ain't right

I didn't know what else to do

or who else to turn to

She listened to all I told her

as I cried on her shoulder

It was hard believing every thingshe said

She told me that you loved me

and that your love was true

So why do you hide it from me

and why do you make me blue

She said that you want to please me

and all my whole life through

So why do you tease me

and do the things you do
