Somewhere in the middle of the night

I heard your lonely cry

I looked to find out where you were

I searched places low and high

Somewhere in the middle of the day

I heard you crying away

I thought I heard you call my name

But I just couldn't say

Somewhere in the middle of my heart

I heard you calling from the start

It was your spirit oh Lord telling me

That you would never part

You had looked for me in the mountains

Where it was so tranquil

You had looked for me in the valleys

Because you had me in your will
