I was living life on the dark side,

couldn't see down this tunnel so dim,

when you came and showed me the light

side,

tell me did you love me then.

I thought that I would have surely died,

without knowing that your love was true,

till you came and gave me back my life,

now I've fallen in love with you.

Now tell me that you love me,

now tell me that you care.

Now tell me that you want me,

or do you want me,

out of your hair.

I've hung on,

till I can't hang on no more.

And my feet,

are half way out your door.

As I turn,

to grab my coat and hat.

Say when I'm gone,

I ain't never coming back.

When I'm gone,

baby that's all she wrote.

And when I'm gone,

You'll be lucky to get a note.

Cause when I'm gone,

I won't care how you cope.

When I'm gone,

at the end of my rope.

Am I just a lump in your gravy,

or something hidden under your rug.

When you say jump I won't say maybe,

or give my shoulders a shrug.

You've got to give me credit for trying,

to take you not break you but make you

my own.

Many nights I've stayed up lonely and

crying.

Please make my house your home.

Please tell me that you love me,

please tell me that you care.

Please tell me that you want me,

or do you want me,

out of your hair.

I've hung on,

till I can't hang on no more.

And my feet,

are half way out your door.

As I turn,

to grab my coat and hat.

Say when I'm gone,

I ain't never coming back.

When I'm gone,

baby that's all she wrote.

And when I'm gone,

You'll be lucky to get a note.

Cause when I'm gone,

I won't care how you cope.

When I'm gone,

at the end of my rope.

There are things that I'd like to tell,

to the only love of my life.

I hope they're not tossed down a well,

like a falling star in the night.

Do I sound as clear as a bell to you,

for you've help me through each day.

Do you love me for I have fell, it's true,

oh I just need to hear you say.

Oh that you really love me,

oh that you really care.

Oh that you really want me,

And you don't want me,

out of your hair.

Cause I've hung on,

till I can't hang on no more.

And my feet,

are half way out your door.

As I turn,

to grab my coat and hat.

Say when I'm gone,

I ain't never coming back.

When I'm gone,

baby that's all she wrote.

And when I'm gone,

You'll be lucky to get a note.

Cause when I'm gone,

I won't care how you cope.

When I'm gone,

at the end of my rope.
