When we lay us down at night,

and drift us off to sleep.

We know that it just ain't right,

what he has up his sleeves,

The Sandman

He sprinkles his little bag of dust,

and there's little that we can do.

The walls that we built, he'll bust,

and we'll slip right on through,

To Dreamland

Where dreams are but memories now,

to take us back to,

when it could have been a different bow,

on a ship sailed by few.

Misguided and off course some how,

and deep in a proverbial stew,

Shouldn't have listened to that false cat's meow,

when the dog's bark was true.

They ordered, second star to the right,

and straight on till morning my love .

But thinking that we were bright,

we didn't heed their dire warning of,

The Sandman

In speaking great words of wisdom sharing,

to take us to an island paradise.

Our ship sank because we were never caring,

souls now sailing in snow and ice,

To Dreamland

Where dreams are but memories now,

to take us back to,

when it could have been a different bow,

on a ship sailed by few...
