This is one of those poems I write in two pieces... The beginning was written in despair, the end was written in some sort of odd amalgam of despair and hope. This is inspired by the unnamed face I seem to encounter daily. Well, here goes. (: I hope to be out of this horrendous funk soon, so there should be more come week's end!

Follow, follow, follow, follow me

Kiss me goodbye and send me to the deep

I always knew this was too good to be

So here I go into soulless sleep

Watch the, watch the, watch the sun go down

I feel it coming down on my head

Takes more than dreams to make me drown

Inside all of these words that I've said

Pushing, pushing, pushing me off the edge

I think I've fallen down the rabbit hole

My heart has jumped straight through the hedge

But I'm still seeing through eyes of coal

Love me; love me; love me, Lonely

I need your  light from above

And you know I'll let you be my one and only

If you'll only say that I'm your love.
