This is me continuing my poetic funk. ACK! I hate the funk... It's like I've dug myself into a terribly unpoetic hole that I couldn't get myself out of if I had a Shakespearean sonnet for a ladder. Rather pathetic...

The tear rolls down my face

You said I couldn't be replaced

My silent sadness sings

On my loveless lonely wish's wings

Maybe this will be the last wish of this kind

Maybe tonight will be the last night that I'll cry

I'll lay me down to sleep

But I'll still lay and weep

And hope that in the night

I'll dream of somewhere bright

With someone to hold me close

Make my heart feel less morose

He'll teach me how to smile

If only for a while...

I just want to be somebody's princess

In a world where my love faces no contest

My beating heart belongs to one

And feels nothing but endless sun

One day my soul will fly home

And never again have to feel alone.
