June 1953. Four sadistic murders have occurred in New York City. A struggling Brazilian artist committed the killings. A set of fingerprints from the apartment of Cathy Herndon, the first victim, leads Detective Mullins to Brian Scherer, Cathy's boyfriend.

Brian is able to slip out of that situation with a ogical explanation of his whereabouts at the time of the murder. With no solid clues and still under suspicion, he concludes that it is no coincidence when his best friend, Jack, is also brutally murdered a few days later. With no experience in sleuthing, he's determined to take a fling at unraveling the puzzle.

Brian sends Tom Holland, a private eye, to Brazil to come up with clues to the Brazilian's early history. While Tom is away, Brian becomes friendly with Tom's sexy, crude and supposedly brainless receptionist, Fran Stafford.

Throw into the story a mixture of N.Y.P.D. Detectives, that dumb blond, the playboy type Private Eye, plus a Multimillionaire Realtor and his wife. This volatile mixture blend into an unrelenting gang bent upon snaring the women abusing Brazilian.
