Looking into the mirror. The reflection of the girl with a brilliant smile was replaced by a girl with large dark brown eyes filled with hurt. Black smudges around my eyes, my hair slightly messy. The smile seemed no where to be found. When I was throwing my tissue away, there was a knock at my door. I just stood there, for a moment deciding whether or not to answer it.

Written In The Stars: Homecoming.

Looking in the mirror at the reflection of a girl. A girl with shoulder length bright blonde curly hair. In a knee length black dress, the smile on her face brilliant. It was difficult for me to take it in that this beautiful reflection was one of myself.

" Greenly? Your dad and I leaving" My mothers voice said from the other side of the closed bathroom door.

" Alright. Have fun. Love you guys" I said still looking at myself in the mirror. Looking at the clock on the wall above the towle rack. The dance would start in thirty minutes. Caleb was suppost to be picking me up in twenty minutes. Opening the bathroom door as my cell phone buzzed on the countertop. Picking it up, i slowly walked into the living room, looking around for my heels. Seeing the three inch, black shoes sitting on the coffee table I sighed and sat down on the couch, looking at my phone.

Caleb: Hey im gonna b there in a few mins...

Me: Alright...

My eye brows pulled together. Caleb was sure coming early. Maybe he had a suprise for me. I smiled brushing a spiral of hair behind my left ear. My second homecoming dance. I was excited for this one, knowing it would be much more fun than my freshman year homecoming. When I was ditched at the dance while the guy who took me to the dance hung out with his friends the whole time.

I tapped my bare foot against the table, then slipped my heels on. Looking at my phone that had just buzzed again with a message from Delanie telling me she was changing the necklace she picked to wear to a different one. I left the message alone, not responding.

After a moment, there was a knock at my door. I slowly walked over to the door. Looking at Caleb wearing a black suit, his short blonde hair combed, his light blue eyes bright, but slightly off.

" Hey, how come you came so early?" I asked as he stepped in shutting the door behind him.

" I wanted to talk to you." He said sitting down on my couch, I walked over and sat next to him. He looked downwards when I made eye contact with him.

" Whats wrong Caleb?" I asked touching his shoulder. When he looked up I moved my hand back to my lap.

" This" he pointed at both of us. " Isn't working anymore."

" What? Why?" I asked him. My hearting beating a little harder.

" It just isn't Greenly" He said and I reached over to touch his hand.

" But, can't we work it out?"

" No Greenly... I'm going to the dance with Shaila" He said his eyes seemed softer, and slightly sad.

" Oh...I understand..." I said my eyes tearing up.

" Greenly..."

" Get out."

" Greenly I stil..."

" Get out of my house Caleb!" I yelled my voice thick with tears. He silently stood up and walked out of my house shutting the door behind him.

The next few moments were blurry, and filled with tears and the sounds of my own sobbing as I leaned into the side of the couch. Funny how something can seem so perfect and within seconds be torn apart. By the time I stopped crying enough to go to the bathroom to change, the dance had started five minutes before.

Walking out and opening the door. Stood Chris wearing dress pants, a white bottom shirt with the top bottom undone, no tie. His shaggy brown hair messy slightly damp from rain that had started about ten minutes before. His hands behind his back.

" What do you want?" I asked sniffling.

" Dalenie told me what happend with Caleb..."

" How did she know?" I asked not moving for Chris to come in.

" Caleb told her... I was wondering if you wanted to go to home coming with me?"... To be continued.
