“FRIDAY “

I took a white plate and sat in front of the table;

I was hungry like hell and looked at the plate with my voracious eyes;

I saw two diamond dots sparkling with pangs of desperate fire;

I looked up and took a deep breath, the trick I used to hide my tears for years..

I put butter on the knife and spread it on the bread left for me;

A piece of bread I placed in my mouth, hoping to satisfy my starving soul..

With my first bite I felt the warmness that rolled over my cheeks…,

Giving me a vision blurred with sting of a dying youth…

No surprise..a usual Friday passing giving me hopeless dreams..

Carrying the arena of an emotional past….
