Written Erotica – A poem

.

.

Eros and Cupid were the Greek and Roman gods of love

Spreading love, lust and intense sexual desire from above

Their piercing arrows creating insatiable lust and wanton desire

Primal urges of conquest compelling you until you can acquire

 .

Written erotica is an art form, using arrows made of words

Striking erogenous zones and causing desires to be stirred.

Creating mental images to unlock deep rooted fantasies

Immersing you in the scene, letting images taunt and tease

 .

Giving rise to lust and want as you read every descriptive word

The characters tensions and joys, to you become transferred

Awakening desires with arousal creating a feeling real need

To touch our private parts and experience pleasure as we read

 .

Imagining real people we know with whom to re-enact the scene

Storing graphic images to recall when similar conditions convene

Fondling your body as the words drive us to feel intimate as well

Struggling to remain objective while wanting the author to compel

Letting innocent words like suck, nibble, tongue, lick, hot, and kiss

Like an aphrodisiac on your libido creating thoughts of sexual bliss

Good erotica is more personal than pornographic pictures alone

Sexual arousal is crafted by the author and what we have known
