Winter Wonderland:
A frosty season is here,
See how it is foretold,
Dear child do not fear,
Though it might be a little cold,
Snow drifting past the night sky,
Without a doubt, the moon shines,
In the starlight you must fly,
After all...its very divine!
Carols singing on the starry night,
Musical melody floating in the air,
Its a royal light after all,
With it's own songful care!
Ahh what a sight,
I know the sound when I hear the bells,
Santa is starting to write,
A wonderland written spell,
Now that's what I call my Winter Wonderland :)

It's great, Sunny, and it's not easy rhyming 1-3, 2-4. You did a really good job. I'd love to see you writing more poetry to go with those fantastic stories!

I'm someone who loves winter, and hates summer, so I found this a magical read. The imagery is enchanting like winter, because it describes why we wait for winter, and why it is that wonderland. I find falling snow to be the most beautiful imagery in the world outside, and it only happens in winter, and that makes winter such a magical season. I like rhyming in poetry, and the 1-3,2-4 flow of what you have done is more difficult than the normal flow of rhyming because you have to make those words rhyme and connect when they are separated by another line in the poem. Like Lisbeth said your rhymes are spot on, so keep experimenting with them. I like this enchanting piece, and I think I will now go and build a winter wonderland, but with a shade of darkness :)

Wow LeParadisNoirPoetique (sorry if this is not what people call you) thank you! I think I am that person too. Winter is such an enchanting season and summmer is not that magical, you know? I love magical things anyway so I'm glad you thought it was a magical read! A winter wonderland is something that our people wait for and that's why it's so joyful and sparkling! I'm also happy that you could imagine the imagery. I want the reader to imagine what a winter wonderland really is! And yes, snow is just beautiful especially in winter of course! Winter is always going to stay my magical season so I have to agree with you again. I will definitely experiment with more ryhming and I am happy you liked it!!
