The sky shone a bit reddish, covered translucently by yellow color of the presently cold, not starving, or scorching, sun. This signified that the sun was about to set and it was about to get dark. The birds were flying and were about to reach their cozy nest. But these things didn’t bother him much. He, who was an ordinary boy, was standing on top of a building. He stood there at the parapet of the terrace, looking down the road which was 600 feet down. He had a cell phone in his left palm. The inner matter was that he was in some kind of thought. He was thinking very deeply. On the other hand, the parapet on which he was resting his legs, which was carrying the whole weight of his body, was very thin. If he moved an inch from his static position, he would fly in the air for a few seconds and then his mass would drop on the ground with a loud thud. The moment he escaped out of his dream of deep thoughts, his body eventually suffered a shock which made the upper part of the body move a bit backwards and a small increment in the position of his tired legs. To his luckiness, he survived it and didn’t fall down. But thatwas meaningless. He quickly darted the position of his cell phone from the left hand to the right hand. His face seemed serious, when he did so.He looked at his last possession. Pausing for some time, but quickly getting back to his sense, he realized he had a deficient time to perform his last job. He opened his email in his cell phone and hastily moved his fingers to compose an email to someone. The message read,“Dear Rose,Today, I don’t know why but I feel thatenough is enough. Since the time we set apart from each other, I had feelings for you and I have them now too. I still want you back in my life but now, I think, at leastyou’ll be free from me. I will love you till eternity. Another matter is that I’m fed up with my life. Little ups and downs are accepted in life but today I’ve realized that this world has changed a lot. Now I feel, internally, that this rude world does not need me anymore.”He paused for some time. He felt that his hands were shaking. However, he knew what he was doing. Suddenly a tiny drop oftear fell from his brown eyes on the screenof the cell phone. It was useless for him. He then continued.“I’ve executed many mistakes, some were big and some were small, but worth unsatisfying. Some are so worse that can never be forgotten. I don’t know why but I’ve realized it today. See, I’ve even related the word ‘rude’ to this earth on which I wasborn. I’m very bad. My dear, it’s time for meto leave. Before leaving I just wanted to share my innermost feelings to the dearestone, which is you. Me for you was, is and will be eternal forever. I’m along with you in your triumph, your miseries and even in your disaster. Mentally and with my soul I’ll always be with you but… but physically I’m not going to survive anymore here. So, lastly, I want to bid you good bye my dear and mostly to this world where I have spent my childhood and almost my teenage. Anyways, be successful in your life and never be down. I love you and will always be there to your aid.Yours loving,Jack.”Now, He was done. He clicked the send option and there he typed her email address and sent the message. Everythingwas done. Now it was time to leave. He was waiting for something. He looked at the twinkling stars and the black background which indicated that it had turned dark. Not knowing how much time he took to type that long message, he was still standing on the thin parapet, still and didn’t move even a bit. When he gazed down, he heard sounds of vehicles which were passing the road and he even looked at the street lamp. The sun was completelygone and even it was time for him to go.Then there arrived that thing which he was waiting for. His cell phone beeped andit showed a purple background where it displayed, ‘Rose Calling’. Now he froze for a moment and then slowly, he tried to lean towards the end of the building. His face didn’t show any kind of fear. He was confident and he knew he was going right. The cell phone kept ringing but he avoidedit, though he did want to just listen to her voice. He could, at least for the last time!He couldn’t fight his heart and answeredthe call. He slowly kept the cell phone on his left ear. He could heart the tensed voice of hers. She was shouting ‘Hello’, expecting an answer from him but he just wept and wept.He then slowly picked up his right leg and tried to keep it in a place constructed with air, without any solid, to rest on. A shock whizzed pass his body, traversing his all internal organs and his senses. In a few seconds he was down, on the footpath. Some part of his body scattered at a distance. The cell phone destroyed into countless pieces as it banged on the cemented ground. He was gone forever from the physical world. Some people crowded near him but in vain. He was dead. No one tried to identify him. He was left alone, cold and lifeless on the ground till the next morning.
