How can you tell her you were not here to stay?

That you were just passing by on your journey

To the sky.

Beautiful angel, why, please why?

Here for a moment, and gone now forever.

The ties that bound you will never

severe, a mothers love lasts

forever.

Le petite never meant for this Earth.

Bound away to far more distant shores, places

Where she cannot yet go.

Where Earthly things and sky don’t exist.

Goodbye Angel goodbye, to you she gives

a parting kiss.

Yet still she will wonder, what was your meaning?

why where you here, for so brief a time?

What did she do to know so much joy

Only to have it torn asunder?

But ours is not to question why.
