Poem by: Sunnyson
A darkened room stares back.
It’s too soon, why can’t he wait?
I’m not ready. I hesitate.
‘When a man loves a woman, he
can do no wrong’Is that true?
Do you love me, is that man you?
If that’s so you won’t do what
you want tonight, will you?
It’s all really new. Too new.
This passion, this lust. Should I just give in?
Give you my trust and commit this sin
But I don’t have a choice in this
battle of wills.
Your touch makes
a liar of my frightened mind as my flesh
is threatened by the unknown .
You’ve moved so fast, like a striking snake.
Too much, too soon. Now it’s too late.
I’m hurt and I’m sore, disillusioned and more.
I’m looking at you now in a different light,
Why couldn’t I see you, I mean really see you
You’re a man and I’m a girl, HA!
A woman now so you say as my
girlish dreams mock me.
But rest assured as I felt my innocence
leaving, your arrogance was duly noted.
I know now you aint sugar coated.
