This is a political poem about the people who suffer and die every day so that we can have cheap material goods. Most people say to me 'Devin, you're being so depressing. I don't want to think about that'. Frankly, I'd rather not think about what I'm taking part in either.

Genocide
to mask our pride
devastation worldwide
Ravaging
We cannot be denied

Led in groups
we are the troops
for the neverending war
Without a thought
we can't be fought
The world protests no more

We march on foot
covered in soot
from the bodies of the dead
We walk on by
ignore the cries
from the bodies that we tread

A puddle of our sheer regret
shimmering -- bloody rement

We march into the hands of death
we curse you with our final breathe
“How did we ever go amiss"
as we fall to the abyss
