The garden still waters her flowers
dying, in many shades of gray,
but she never retreats, no matter what she faces:
storms, waves, or even rain on a bay.


They finally seem to be turning pink, then red,
This took her more than a day
but just then, they phased back to dark gray.
How long will this weigh?

She didn’t scream, but dreamed.
Pleased, she kept watering on her tray
Until what came was her best.
Hard work being paid off, in the sun she lay
