An open window

Set in  a lonely home.

A small little finch appears,

He chirps and dances.

He reminds you of a distant friend.

You blink into another room,

Another time.

Your breath spreads before you,

Yet you are overheating.

The air around you is frigid,

The air inside, bitterly warm.

You look all around

Only one person stands staring....

STRAIGHT AT YOU.

She stands as a figure in your mind.

She is you, yet the opposite.

She is a cute little child you once were,

Yet she is your worst enemy.

Maybe it is all just a dream,

Yet you can reach out and feel everything around you.

Every move you make,

The same the girl makes.

I can see you standing alone,

Not knowing what to do,

Nowhere to go.

Just like a new student,

As the bully moves in for the punch....

THE LIGHTS GO OUT.
