The Old Piano

I walked into a dark room, staring at a dark wall.

I turned on the lights to find a old piano.

Its keys were an orange color, having been stained

from years of neglect.

I picked up a broken piece of wood from the pianos cover,

feeling its broken edges against my hand.

Why would this piano be left alone?

Was it really that bad?

It had a black finish, slighty greyed from decay.

I sat down on the half broken stool,

putting my fingers down on the stained keys.

They still worked........
