The Budding of the Fig Tree

by Susan H Fouts

The budding of the fig tree

The signs of the times

Perplexity of nations

The end is nigh

Jesus Said, I come quickly.

Redemption draweth nigh

I will look up to the sky

I will look up to the sky

My redemption draweth nigh

Whosoever has this hope

Purifies himself

Hating even the garment

Spotted by the flesh

Jesus coming for a bride

garments wrinkle free

Dazzling and white

The way He wants them to be

The budding of the fig tree

Branches spreading forth

The Jews gathering from the ends of the earth

Some come from the north

A nation born in a day, May 14, 1948

Jesus coming quickly

And I can hardly wait.

I will look up to the sky

My redemption draweth nigh

Whosoever has this hope

Purifies himself

Our redemption draweth nigh.
