Look up at the sky, but don't burn your eyes.

I walk to the door

My feet barefoot on the floor

I look out

I want to shout

No one can hear me

Maybe I should flee

I start to think of you

And all your tattoos

You filled my heart

You were my piece of art

Now here I am, ripped to shreds

My heart being held together by threads

I look up at the sun

I just need to have some fun

I step out into the grass

And sit down on my ass

I feel the sunshine

I feel like a beautiful design

Sitting here in this sunshine glory

My life is kind of like a sob story

This is beautiful imagery combined with personal experience, making the emotional impact even stronger than usual. Keep posting, Suz. The guy who left you has lit a fire of creativity in you that isn't burning out anytime soon.
