By the frosted window

Snow falls, covering the world white

Against the window there sits a young woman

Her face is smeared with stained tears

Tears shed long ago

Before the cold, whiteness outside

Her eyes are red and glassy

Searching for answers of the past

(My how life changes)

Once so pure

Now polluted and desecrated

She sees her life's past in slow motion

Wishing she could delete her mistakes

Delete them from memory and life altogether

So many errors

Failure, pain, sorrow, and broken hearts

Looking back outside, she sees the snow has stopped

But there, by the frosted window, she stays

Watching the ghosts of her past

Floating thru the newborn snow

Gracing the world with their presence

Tears fall down her cheeks and in her lap

Little droplets of her fleeting happiness

Running down her face

Looking to erase what used to be

But alone, she is

Always in her mind, in her soul, in her life

Fore, tonight she will stay here, with her past

But, tomorrow, she will go on with the present

And with each second of time she will rewrite her past

Hopefully with NO REGRETS.
