there’s no light in sight.

I’m waiting here,

in the dark.

I waiting for someone to come and rescue me.

Funny, isn't it?

I’ve always prided myself in being in the light,

now I sit in the darkness.

It was my pride that brought me here,

my stupidity in thinking I could take them alone.

Now I’m alone

so alone. . .

who will save me?

Who will come and take me back to the light?

There's no hope in sight,

the light barely on the horizon.

Darkness, desperation, numbness

all I feel.

Here without the light makes me wonder,

who am I?

Where am I?

God.

Jesus.

I scream, no one listens.

Helping me would be out of their comfort zone,

they'd have to get their hands dirty.

We can't have that. . .

Darkness, pure darkness.

Desperation, it's penetrating.

It pulses through me,

numbness,

depression,

darkness.

Where am I?

Silence.

Numbness.

Who have I become?

Numbness.

Silence.

I look up, I expect darkness.

Then-

Light,

hope,

Jesus.

  Soon. . .
