Here we are in a line of cars,

We all pile in the old stone church;

Hearing the birds just outside,

The church doors open, a soft breeze flies in.

Here you come, we all stand,

Turn our head, till we see you in view;

Women in dresses, men in suits,

We hear the church bells ring.

Now they walk you down the aisle,

Everyone watches you in silence;

Visitors sit, take their place,

The Pastor says the opening prayer.

He prays over you, wishing you peace,

We all watch, full of emotion;

Oh how we wish we could be there with you,

Now we lay you down to rest.
