-My name is today
Consider me as if tomorrow will never come,
Come live like you were dying but
plan like you still have eternity to live.-

My name is today,
Call me the present if you will,
Or if it comforts you New day is still okay,

My name is today,
Let me tell you about my family,
It's quite a funny one actually,
Would you believe that the world
being thousands of years old,
I only have two cousins?
Yes only two in a thousand years,

The first is my cousin yesterday,
He is probably a distant memory
to the creator by now, but what
surprise me and to be honest is that
the human stay hung up in him
for far too long they pass me by
barely noticing me,they call it "life"

That brings me to the second cousin Tomorrow
AKA the future, He is the hope bearer but,
I call him the non-factor, for who knows if He
will ever show up?
Blessed with a lot of admirers my second cousin,
I will admit he is pregnant with a lot of unknowns,
But what good are they if no one is sure of their coming?

My name is today,
And unlike my cousins I am actually real,
I am neither past or future but the present,
Pass me by and you wont be prepared for,
Cousin tomorrow,
Enjoy me to the fullest and you will live without
regrets and what if's.

My name is today,
Consider me a present rather than "the present"
Treat me like a gift, "de gift" given to you freely
By the Creator, I am the bearer of your daily blessing,
Like manna they do not cross over to tomorrow,
For tomorrow has it's own daily bread.

My name is today
Consider me as if tomorrow will never come,
Come live like you were dying but
plan like you still have eternity to live.
