I'M SORRY. BUT I'M NOT

I'm sorry.

But I'm not.

In the dark, when the darkness overtakes, I feel you.

I miss you.

You're a part of me I'll never know

I feel I'm missing a bit of my soul...

Where are you now...

Does a piece of you live?

Breathe?

I'm sorry.

But I'm not.

The choice was mine and I know I'm not cruel.

So the reasons I had must have been true.

It all made sense, and seemed so right.

The only thing I could do.

I'm sorry.

But I'm not.

Please don't misunderstand me

Don't think I didn't love

Don't think I didn't agonise

Or cry myself dry.

I think of you every day

And wonder what if I...

The time has come to let you go

To forgive and breathe again

To say goodbye and let you be

I pray that you forgive me.
