When all hope has faded into darkness
When you are weakest and most helpless
When courage is but a dream
Then from within, masses of light will teem

When the road is most lonely and the end is in sight
When you have not a speck of bravery with which to fight
Then from the path of meaningless meander you shall veer
And finally, finally – the truth shall become clear

That which you strove to discover for years
That which resulted in hundreds of tears
Finally, finally – that shall be revealed
At last – the meaning of life will no longer be concealed

You lived your life searching for this meaning
Here and there, always gleaning
Now, in the final pages of your life’s book
Of that which you strove for, you will finally get a look

When the cover over truth has finally been pulled
You realise that, alas, life has had you fooled
There was no secret plan nor great destiny abound
All you had to do was live your life with morals that were sound

So live with feeling, with hope, happiness and joy
Fear not for destiny’s secret ploy
Waste your life not, live as you will
And the highest power shall your meaning of life fulfill
