Moving on is a simple thing. What it leaves behind is hard.

Twice you made me fall in love.
Twice you poisoned my soul.
Twice I picked up my heart from the floor.
Only to find you standing there wanting more.

Many days I wrestle with hate and regret.
Pain from promises never kept.
You alone I know I cannot blame.
Eyes touch yours only to feel shame.

Four years have went by.
Your words in black bring tears to my eyes.
A part of me you'll always keep.
I'll watch you smile from afar as my soul withers and weeps.
