Dejection - Ignorance (girl's side)

Divergence

I met a boy in high school,
He had charming grey eyes,
his hair would always mess up,
I knew him for a good while,
At some point, I fell for him.
I always knew he had lots of girls,
but why is it that when we talk,
He ignores others?
Oneday, I confessed to him,
I was dejected,
not giving more thought onto the matter,
I smiled. I was being foolish,
He never loved me,
Nor did I, I frowned slightly,
I thought I couldn't move on, then,
He came, This other boy,
He smiled and grinned at how I looked like,
standing in front of a mirror,
Eyes swollen with tears,
That guy sure does know how to break you,
he says, I blinked.
I had to move on,
no point in waiting if there's nothing to wait for.
All I needed was right here all along.
