They are leading lives as they think is fit without realizing that the Creator created mankind for the purpose of judging who is obedient to His Will and Commandments and who is not...

Man was created for the purpose of His Worship but today there are so many men, women and children who are ignorant of His Existence and totally unaware of the purpose of life. For the atheist, the disbeliever and the hypocrite, life does not entail His Worship or leading life according to His Commandments. Today most of the people in the world donot believe in the concept of accountability, resurrection, judgement, heaven or hell. The materialists especially have invented a system of life which revolves about the accumulation of material objects and worshipping ones desires and giving into the whims of the Self and the Ego. It is a life spent in toiling to accumulate wealth and amusing oneself. According to them life ends with death. It is as simple as that. But addressing these people in the Holy Quran, Allah states that the disbelievers and hypocrites would be in shock when they are resurrected for they did not believe in that particular concept. When they are raised blind, they will ask the Creator that why have they been raised blind when they used to see in the world and the Allah will answer that it is a punishment for mocking the Prophets and refusing to lead a life according to His Commandments. Therefor the purpose of life which Allah talks about within the Quran again and again is worshipping Him and believing that Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him is His final messenger. Obviously His Message has always been about His being a Singular deity who has neither been created and neither can He be destroyed. Everything in the entire Universe and other than that is because of His Willing it to be so. He identifies Himself as the Omnipotent and the Most Merciful. It is mentioned in the Holy Quran that every living and non-living thing worships Him. Life in this world is subject to constraints such as time and every living thing will die. But the purpose of this life has been mentioned in the Quran as His Worship. And His Worship entails saying ones prayers, contributing to Zakat, contributing to charity, performing Haj, fasting, abstaining from adultery, abstaining from immorality, abstaining from homosexuality, abstaining from slandering, abusing and defaming others, abstaining from lying, cheating and deceiving others and much more. Apart from purity of thought, mind and intention, the foundation of Islam lies upon virtue and character. It also lies within overcoming ones passions, ones desires and ones Self and Ego. The concept of self-accountability is also raised in the Holy Quran.

Each individual shall be held accountable for his or her deeds. No relation or friend will be allowed to intercede for anyone. On that particular day, the believers shall be presented their records in their right hands and the disbelievers shall be presented their records in their left hands. It is on this day, that the disbelievers shall be in a state of deep anxiety and worry for they will see Hell in full view and ALLAH will present every one of them a record of all their actions, deeds and intentions and each believer and disbeliever will want to distance themselves from their bad deeds but they would not be able to do so. Infact the mouths of people shall be sealed and their body parts will testify the actions that they used to perform. It is said that the believers and the disbelievers will be separated and divided into two groups. One group will be destined from Hell and the other for Heaven. The hypocrites and the disbelievers will request Allah to send them back to their worldly lives and give them one more chance but the Creator will not listen to them and they will be cast into Hellfire where they will neither live and neither die. Cast into a raging and burning inferno named Hell, boiling water will be poured over their heads and the fire will cover them from all sides burning them over and over again. They will wish for death but there would be no death. Each time their skins burn and melt, the skin would regenerate and there would be an endless torment for them. When they are thirsty, they will be provided burning and boiling water which will melt their innards and would not quench their thirst. They will also be offered the pus which flows from their wounds as a drink. As for food, they will be given fruit of the tree named Zaqqum and the disbelievers will not be able to swallow it and even if they did it would burn within their bellies. The QURAN on the other hand contrasts the conditions of the believers who on the Day of Judgement would be happy and under the protection of Allah and they would neither be sad nor would they grieve. For them the reward would be the gardens of Heaven where the people will neither age nor would they get tired. They will have whatever they want to eat and do whatever their heart desires without any prohibitions and restrictions. Infact the believing men will be married to a beautiful female creation named Hurs.

Throughout ages Allah sent appointed Messengers and sent them to different races and different nations but time and time again it was seen that despite witnessing numerous miracles and suffering various punishments, the people refused to believe in the concept of monotheism as against polytheism. Many nations were even destroyed for instance the people of Sodom were destroyed for they were practicing homosexuality and various other peversities. Another instance which comes to light is the case of the Prophet Moses who was sent to liberate the Jewish people from the clutches of the Egyptian Pharaoh’s. Though Prophet Moses displayed various miracles and feats before the Pharoah, the Pharoah refused to believe in the Unity of Allah. Numerous torments were also sent upon the people of Egypt by Allah but the Pharoah of Egypt of an arrogant and haughty person who despite witnessing the power of Allah refused to believe in Him. And so Moses was ordered by Allah to lead the Jewish people out of Egypt under the protection of Allah. Of course, the Red Sea parted under the command of Allah and the Jews safely crossed the parted sea but the following army of the Pharoah including the Pharoah was completed covered by the sea and drowned. This is the sort of arrogance and disbelief that has been on display by various nations and peoples throughout the history of mankind. The Bible and the Taurat were the Holy Scriptures which Allah sent with Jesus and Moses but alas men made modifications within these Holy Scriptures to suit their way of lives. Therefore the final Scripture which Allah has promised to protect from any possible modification is the Holy Quran. This Scripture is a source of guidance for those who seek guidance. It is the Holy Book of Allah which informs people about who Allah is. It also lists the lives and stories of various Prophets including Jesus, Moses and Prophet Muhammad PBUH. It informs the people about how the Creation of the Universe took place and why man was created. It discusses in detail the characteristics of the believers, the disbelievers and the hypocrites and informs people about the trials that await them after death. Of course, description of Heaven and Hell has also been provided to the people in detail. Also included within the Quran are the expectations of the Creator from those who have been created.

It is wrong to think of Allah as a cruel deity because if He was a deity seeking retribution He would have not allowed or tolerated any form of disobedience from His Creation and would have destroyed them or replaced them with another creation as He is the one who has created the entire Universe and it is He who sustains it and provides for all the living things. It is due to His Mercy that a believer and a disbeliever both are both provided and sustained by the Creator. That is why Allah is also known as AR RAHMAN, The One who continually showers all of creation with blessings and prosperity without any disparity. The One who is most kind, loving and merciful. The One whose endless, loving mercy is perfect and inclusive. The One who is overflowing with the quality of loving mercy and is continually pouring it upon all of creation. The One whose perfect mercy and loving beneficence endlessly embrace all of creation. The One who loves and cherishes all of creation. The One who is most loving, gentle and merciful. Therefore Allah is a very merciful entity.

Allah says to man “\"O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and put your hope in Me, I have forgiven you for what you have done and I do not mind. O son of Adam, if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and then you would seek My forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, if you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the earth and then you would meet Me without ascribing any partners with Me, I would certainly bring to you forgiveness close to filling it.\" In this Hadithi Qudsi, Allah gives hope to mankind more than any other narration. It displays the quality and attribute of Allahs mercy. Indeed, He is ar-Rahman, the Most Compassionate, and ar-Raheem, the Most Merciful. In this Hadithi Qudsi, Allah tells man of the greatness of His forgiveness and mercy so that no one would despair due to the amount of sins he may have committed. This is supported by the following verse of the Holy Quran: Say: O My servants who have transgressed against their own souls, despair not of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surah az-Zumar 39:53)

This hadith teaches us the importance of realizing Allahs mercy, having faith and hope in Him especially when making dua, calling to Allah alone for forgiveness, and the importance of repentance in the life and faith of a believer.

Take a look at the following verse from the HOLY QURAN:

And if Allah touches you with harm, there is none who can lift it but He. And if He intends good for you, then none can repel His favor which He causes to reach whom He wills among His servants. And He is the Pardoning, the Merciful. ] Quran 10 : 107. It becomes quite evident that Allah being the All Powerful and Mighty entity that He is controls our fate and destinies. During our worldly lives, it is He who alone who can help us or assist us in ways that we cannot imagine. That is why Salah has been made a paramount part of Muslim faith. By prostrating before Allah, a person expresses his submission and humility before the Creator of the entire Universe. And a Muslim during his Salah or prayer communicates with Allah. Of course Allah loves that a believer asks Him for any favor or need that he or she needs. It is Allah who helps create the conditions which allow a believer to overcome obstacles, difficulties and problems in life. It is through Salah, that a person is able to achieve the solace of the heart. It is through Salah that a believer is able to overcome his Self, his ego and his desires. It is through the remembrance of Allah that a believer is blessed by Allah. When we pray to Allah and sincerely ask for His repentance, Allah with His Infinite Mercy accepts our repentance for our sins. However there is one sin that He says which He will not forgive and that is ascribing partners to Him or believing that some Prophet, Saint or individual possesses the same attributes that He does. This ascribing of partners to Allah is called “Shirk”.
