A A A

Sweat pours off my head like the water falling over a cliff. My hand, holding the coldness of the metallic, grey weapon. A gun. The metal hand I press to my face, feeling the imprints on the handle. Sketches carved in it, I rub my finger through. It is time.
I stand and walk slowly down the pathway. As I approach the end, I spot a man standing there; holding the same gun. I quietly creep up on him. Then, a gunshot fills the air.  The noise is so loud, I go deaf within seconds. The man in front of me falls to the ground and a thick, red puddle of his blood covers him.
That man no longer breathes, will never she his 2 month-year-old daughter again and will never get to see his pregnant wife. And his kid, will never have a father. That man was my friend.
I look up and make eye contact with the enemy. Swore to die. It takes me not even a second before I fire my gun and watch it impact in her mouth. She lands on her knees and freezes in a praying position. Finally, she leans back and breathes her last.
I crawl to the man. Staring at him. Blood spurs out of his mouth and he chokes. I have nothing to
talk about, I just keep walking.
As I get to the end of the hallway I find a group of people. They are all huddled together and a small fire is lit. The walls cold as a stone. Cool air blows through the hall, making my skin shiver.
Dead bodies and blood are everywhere. No matter when you go, you will never find a hallway with out bodies and blood. I sit next to the fire and a little girl about the age of 5 scoots up and sits next to me.
I wrap my arm around her and she begins to sleep.
A lady walks up to me. Has brown hair and is semi-attractive. "Thank you!" She bellows.
"For what?" I say.
"Keeping her warm, she is my daughter, Mini. I am Lilac," she says. She sticks her hand out and we shake. "What is your name?"
"Nightshade," I reply.
"Welcome you Nightshade," she says.
We sit by the fire and I doze off. I begin to dream. Stains of red fill my eye site. Then it turns blue as I find myself in a glass box that begins to ill with water. Underneath me are razor sharp blades and above a thin rope holds me but not for long because another blade is cutting it.
The water begins to reach my chin and I stretch my neck up to keep breathing air. Then a motion feeling comes on me. I'm falling! I wait for the impact but it never came. I am awake and I see Lilac shaking me to get up. "Get up! They're coming!"
