Today you took your departure.
Your life gave mine so much joy and understanding.
Its a rare thing for me, to feel understood.
I thought the tears would never stop.
but in the midst, I paused, took a breath and looked up and out.
at my window the snow was knocking.
almost as if saying, look at me, look up, here I am!
It wanted in, so I opened the windows and let it come.
and as beautifully as it came, it gracefully went.
nothing in this world, no matter how beautiful, is meant to stay.
and you, like the snow, that has now disappeared from sight
were real, were here and beautiful.
thank you. thank you, for stopping by, Mary.

That's beautful, its a scary thing to love something that death can take away, but as the saying goes, its better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all... Im glad you have had someone in your life that you were able to open up to :)
