grim world

In a world full of hatred and wrath

Lived a man with a clean pure heart

He was untouched by the vanity of this world

And paid for this with hunger and cold

No humanity is to be found

Nor compassion with which he was bound

He tried to remind the darkened souls

Of charity, of love and heavens above

He tried to remind them of mercy and joy of youth

But all he got were scorns and words that hurt

He was like a ray of light in a dark night

But they were blinded and shunned the bright sight

It was hard for him to bear this ugly life

Surrounded by hypocrites who stabbed him with a knife

He was injured and the wound was fatal

They killed his soul and buried him forever

Like a bud, he was picked before becoming a flower
