Are these real?

I’m afraid I had to steal

I’m masked with adaptations of emotions

That never really were set in motion

At least for me

I met people

Filled with feelings and hope

It made me sick

Made me sick and tired

Of what I so highly desired

To call my own

Maybe at least I could’ve shown

Shown what I had learned from the people I called friends

People I thought I’d stay with ‘til the end

“Well, then what happened?” You may ask

I’ll tell you

Maybe it was a lie I made up, but it wasn’t true

They were phantoms of my mind

Playing tricks on my kind

You don’t see anyone around me?

You know what that’s okay, it’s fine

I can see them

They’re made of the crushed hopes and dreams of my childhood

The rocks and stones in my old bipolar hood

That’s what they’re made of

That’s what led from a push to a shove

First few thoughts

I didn’t often think

But they became more frequent

More and more until they became a sequence

Death, Keep your grades up,

Death, Oh no I’m corrupt

I’m a fake

A fraud

Shouldn’t exist

Shouldn’t be taught

But I’ve learned a lot
