50 Wonderful Years
By Zach Tarantelli
Two loving people whose hearts are so warm.
Rare are these cases where true love is born.
Happy Acres is where you both met.
The time that will follow you’ll never forget.
You had three kids who bring you great joy.
Two lovely daughters and one perfect boy.
You cared for each other through thin and through thick.
A better partner neither could pick.
As time moved on, your love got much stronger.
It was clear that your marriage would last so much longer.
Now its fifty years later, the time has been bliss.
And now you have seven sweet grandkids to kiss.
You’re the best grandparents; grandpa, and grandmother.
Your love is unmatched, it is like no other.
You’ve beaten the odds, smoothed out the rough.
It doesn’t sound easy, I’m sure it was tough.
Fifty’s unheard of in this day and age.
Most marriages end in sorrow and rage.
But you two have made it, above others you soar.
And I know in my heart you’ll last fifty years more.
