I know what you do with those boys sally

The stairs lead to nowhere

That place in the mist

Sally wanted to go there

Go to that lonely place

To cry

 

Nowhere

The place where daddy would leave her alone

Nowhere

A place were no boys would ask her to

Raise her skirt and

Spread her long legs wide

 

It was nowhere

Sally wanted to go

Climb down the rickety steps and become in-cased in the mist

No-one would find her here

No voice of disgust would travel to this place

“Sally I have heard what you do with those boys”

Her father would say

“Soon a rotten seed will be planted within you

and of COURSE it will be your mother and I’s job

To raise it

Or you could just dig it out

For anything that would grow within you would be

Useless

A weed”

Sally tired of these words

She wanted to stop

But the boys wouldn’t let her

She still felt the stings of her attempts to

Knock of their advances

 

The stairs led to nowhere

A misty place -

No one knew

Sally wanted to go there

Escape it all

But she was losing the strength to fight back

So the steps to nowhere

(That safe haven)
