Stranger
You are a mystery
A gift under the Christmas tree
That I want to pick up and shake
I want to find all I can about you
Drink in your mystery
But like those boxes under trees in the shopping mall
If I you are unwrapped I will find nothing
Just an empty cardboard box
For stranger you are in my imagination
Or partly created by it
A character I saw once
On the TV screen
Who I added features that I desired
If I found the actor that plays you
I would be disappointed
For there would be parts I love
But parts would be missing
My attraction for you would be wobbly
Soon I would have to stop playing pretend

Stranger
You will save me in every situation
Hold me and you will not care,
About what past I have in my shadows
You will abandon all for the girl you saved,
From flood, fire, and the usual sexual attack
We will meet in an elevator that will conveniently break
We will share body heat

Stranger
What I am speaking of is completely insane
It is the outcome of a bad crush
On a character from the TV screen
I call you my "one love"
My knight
But this is just inside my head
Thoughts like this should never escape
From my mouth
Or in lust filled words in
Crazy emails typed in the middle of the night
Stranger
I am a smart girl
Who knows how to maintain sanity?

Stranger
You are a mystery
Maybe you are my one true love?
But we must remain miles apart
In real life and fantasy
I know what is true and what a vivid imagination creates
I have morals and respect for all
This is best
For otherwise,
Sanity would be hard to maintain
