About a bed.
I'm not even kidding.
Maybe a little meaning behind it.
Nothing is ever straightforward.

The sheets, tangled around her body,
Tries and tries to tug and pull her up.
The bed, sinking lower and lower,
Envelopes her body in its springs.
Stuck in between two different worlds,
Her body struggles to move.
She sacrifices breathing for his love,
But confusion overwhelms her soul.
Flailing her arms, she reaches for freedom,
Giving up on her old ways.
Can something fresh, something new,
Relieve her of this deadly frustration?
In a dynamic state of confusion,
She frees herself from the mattress.
Leaving her heart cold and helpless,
Her thoughts run wild with possibilities.
The sheets, once able to set her free,
Failed to keep her mind open.
The bed, consuming her life completely,
Refuses to ever let her go.
