through the misty dawn
bound to the rhythm
to quick to be seen yet to slow to be heard
the voices of insecurity whistle through

wrapped in my plastic mac
rattling through the streets
the night shimmers like a distant star
so easily forgotten
one flame lost in the infinite abyss

taxi'd out of the dream
the sheep wonder
following the tracks left by the wolves
winding deeper into the dark
striving to reach that ellusive goal

he calls from behind his cape
i'll huff and i'll puff and i'll blow your house down

the cracks in the walls start small
everything has a beginning
no matter how small they may be

the walls of illusion fall one by one
tumbling down
down
down
all that is left is flesh and bones
so easily devoured by the wolves
can you feel it as they take it away?
