"Accepting LGBT" as you can guess is about the LGBT community being accepted in the world. The hole population has already come a long way, we all have the same rights, same sex mariage is now legal in many place... but there is still lots of progress to be made. This is all about how to help that progress, of course it will be slow, any good change is but in the end, it may make this world a better place.

I spent the day watching many films, one of them was « Pride ». For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Pride is a film about the gay community and it's fight for rights in society. This is only one of the many tv shows and films that I have taken an interest in lately. I am trying to discover as much as I can on the LGBT community, I think that it is all very fascinating. All of the people who fought for us, for LGBT to have the same rights as others, to be equal socially have so much courage and have accomplished so much. I look at these films, where people were able to talk in front of great amounts of people and tell them that they are gay, lesbians, bisexuals, transexuals... knowing that they would be judged, attacked physically and verbally but those people would speak anyway to make the world a better place. I know that I would never have had that much courage.

These heroes have made the world come a long way, thanks to them so many more people are able to say « Yes I'm gay » as well as bisexual, a lesbian, transexual, pansexual, asexual, agender... freely without being scared of getting hurt. Yes the world has evolved in so many ways, but it still has a long way to go.

The problems are definitely not as grave as they used to be, we have the same rights, same sex mariage is now legal in so many countries... but socially there are still some problems which is normal, these kind of things don't change suddenly, it takes time. Gay men are still looked at strangely for example, more than lesbians or bisexuals. Some people still believe that being bisexual is just a fase, that being transexual is simply dress up... I would also like to say that being transexual is still not accepted in many places. That makes it difficult for all of us who are questioning our sexuality. I for example am not sure if I am really a girl, I don't believe that i am a man but maybe agender. The problem with this not being accepted is that i cannot talk to anyone about it. I can't tell anyone how frustrating it is, I cannot ask any questions... like so many other people out there, i am afraid that I will get hurt, become homeless... there are too many risks.

I know that this is painful, slow and will probably take a very long time to take affect but I might have one thoght about all of this. We should all speak up and tell the world who we really are, show everyone that being part of the LGBT+ community isn't a bad thing, it's a good one. Maybe this will help others see that we are not different from anyone else.

The world can change, at first you might think that some people are dead against us but if enough people show them that their ideas of us aren't true, they can change. Everyone is capable of accepting, some just need a bit more convincing than others.

That's why I decided to write this miscellaneous, we can change the world for the better, as long as we stay patient, don't give up and stay proud of who we are, the world might one day become a homophobe free place.

Stay strong, keep on surviving, see you, I love you !

I am bisexual, maybe agender (questioning), be proud of who you are !
