Hands wide

Soldiers cried

Warriors danced

Heroes died

Warriors sold their blades

Bought seeds and spades

Farmers danced,

Amongst the glades

The crusade call

Farms stall

Pulling armor on

Father’s sword off the wall

March the road

On their backs carried load

Shields bore the cross

While the knights rode

In hot desert lands

Burning sands

Chain mail is heavy

Blisters on hands

Swords drawn

Blood scorn

Crying of wounded

Shields worn

And you see tears for freedom

Battles for Heaven’s kingdom

You fools followed the Pope

You believed him
