if you could see what I see, that tree is not a tree.

yet merely the figments of imaginations lost at sea.

the world works in mysterious ways, through trickery and deciet.

seems to have destroyed young fathers, and men. in fear they may eventually grow weak.

take a seat, and listen to my story about these souls

lost in hope that some day their minds will grow,

into a content state where they lay once before.

they killed and saw murder with their young fragile eyes.

fighting for what they don't understand and won't until they die.

loud sounds trapped in their ears, vicious images in their minds.

nothing left to corrupt but their tormented cries.

with their bodies at home, conscience left at sea.

they will depart once again where they lay beneath the tree.

for a moment they felt calm,at peace,at home.

one last gunshot and they escape feeling so alone.

I walk past that tree every day, and watch to see how it sways so differently than the rest.

not in motion of the wind but how the men did their best.

souls forever in that one special tree, which is secretly the imaginations lost at sea..
