The light I chase dims

The love I sought dies

The angels I can’t hear no more

Where are the promised rainbows

The salvation that should have been mine

Is now meant for another

Prayers are left unanswered

My tears are left uncomforted

Where is my second chance

Where is my foot steps in the sand

Where is the sound of flapping wings

I’ve read the good book only to receive paper cuts

I’ve prayed only to receive cramped knee’s

The son who was to embrace me slaps me

The father who I thought loved me spurns me

And the trinity curses me

Licking at my neck the flames burn me

No matter how much I scream no one hears me

With sad eyes all the Angels turn away

Leaving me how I lived…

Unsaved
